1950s - 2010s Part 1
History of Modern Fashion Design
Period:2024/06/25 20:00(GMT+09:00)~
Founded in 2002, LAILA is dedicated to the collection and curation of fashion designs from throughout history. Their vast archive of pieces will be curated and displayed at the first exhibition of LA MUSEUM.
Titled "1950s - 2010s Part 1," the first half of the exhibition showcases the work of Madame Grès, who was active in the 1950s just after World War II; representatives of the 1960s and 1970s like Pierre Cardin and Yves Saint Laurent; and those who colored fashion from the 1980s onward, including Claude Montana, Thierry Mugler, Gianni Versace, and Azzedine Alaïa. It also looks back at the fashion that naturally emerged in alignment with social movements during the tumultuous 1970s and 1980s. The exhibition curates works that strongly reflect cultural backgrounds, such as London's Ossie Clark and Granny Takes a Trip, and America's East West Musical Instruments Co.
